Italian restaurants, sub shops, calzone counters and Italian delis sit next to the pizzerias on this site because most of them bake pizza too, often from the same dough. Full-service Italian restaurants take reservations for dinner, add a tip line for table service (15-20% is customary) and usually run a cheaper lunch menu on weekdays. Sub and sandwich shops are counter-order and quick, with sizes by the inch or in half and whole lengths. Calzones and strombolis are priced like a medium pizza and are large enough to share. Italian delis and bakeries sell by weight and by the piece, and many close mid-afternoon.

West Sacramento is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and West Sacramento follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I like shopping at this store. I love the premium quality of the food. Excellent meat department, produce, etc. However, the last few time I have shopped there I have been disappointed with the food bar. Two weeks ago I got some chicken thighs and when I got home with them and cut into them I discovered that they were bloody. I called the store to let them know but it took so long for them to get a person for me to talk to about it, I finally hung up. I was really upset that the food wasn't cooked thoroughly. I hope that my message about the uncooked chicken got to the right person in charge. I don't want salmonella nor would I want to see anyone else get it. Today I bought Kalamata olives. When I opened them up I noticed that there was no plastic wrap around the outside of the lid. It looked like someone had taken some of the olives out. The olives had an odd sweaty coating. I've bought these before and never had them look like that or not had the sealing wrap around the lid. That was $9.99 - down the drain. I am on a fixed income and I don't mind paying premium prices for premium food but I am really unhappy with having wasted $9.99 for olives that I've had to throw

This is my new favorite market! Excellent prepared/cooked Salmon Yakatori, & Vietnamese Chicken Thighs Total Yum! Either chopped up in a rice bowl with lightly steamed red, yellow, & orange mini-peppers make a great meal. Sometime add chopped up dry fried cashes and Ginger Toasted Sesame salad dressing … Guess what I’m having for dinner tonight?

I want to start by saying that I love the Nugget grocery chain. However, I cannot stand this specific location. My main issue is with their hot food bar and salad bar. Every single time for the past 3 years, this location always has empty or cold food in the hot section and wilted old lettuce and old shriveled toppings for the salad bar. It doesn’t matter what time of day or how busy they are, and I truly think it’s down to a management issue. The location in west sacramento never has this issue, and luckily I live closer to that location. For the prices they charge, I’m not going to pay top dollar for old food, which I have in the past to not complain, but I’m not going to accept it anymore.

I really love this store. The shelves are stocked beautifully. It's very clean and their selection is nice. The staff here are amazing and they are kind to your children even offering them stickers at checkout. They do accept WIC benefit and even place labels on the shelves. However, some items which are labeled(like cranberry juice) do not pass a barcode scan, only apple-cranberry does and it seems there are no eligible eggs here.

Whoever is overseeing and also cooking the breakfast bar is amazing. This thing is the best one I've ever had. Every ingredient is great the sausage patties, the potatoes, the pancakes, biscuits and gravy and omelet are all great! You owe it to yourself to try it! Kills the co op and whole foods hot bar!!!
